We originally made these to replace chrome side fender vents on a high-powered model of Mustang, where the engine compartment has an opening cut out on both sides of the compartment, so heat can flow out and through these Fender Vertical Side Vents. Owners of other vehicles have found these to be both effective with heat evacuation, but also at adding an aggressive high-speed/sports look to the highly visible fender side.
